BLADERUNNER toy packaged in a BACK TO THE FUTURE II box.
Sold as part of the "BACK TO THE FUTURE" product series (for its cameo in the sequel). There was only one reason this Japanese collectable (as released by MEDICOM TOYS in September 2003) was highly sought after. Beautifully cast in glossy black plastic with no decals, therefore being able to be displayed as a BLADERUNNER "spinner." An iconic design by genius Syd Mead, conceptual designer on many iconic films such as Tron and Aliens.
"Miracle Action Vehicle No.1 FUTURE CAR" Approximately 270mm (around 11"). Features include opening nosewheels and the gull-wing style doors. Suiting the role of Deckard, STAR WARS Kubrick series 5 released a chase Kubrick of Han Solo (as he appeared on Endor wearing a trenchcoat) fitting in the car perfectly.
A toy license that remains unfulfilled but with the new remastered "2007 Final Cut" being released soon on HD formats, interest remains high.
