The Last Laugh

Following the untimely death of Heath Ledger, much speculation was made in the US media about the Joker toys from the upcoming sequel to Batman Begins, "THE DARK KNIGHT." This being the 13" tall deluxe figure by DC Direct, made for collectors with quality fabric clothing and a more realistic sculpt.

REVOLTECH's sister line

Literally, "FRAULEIN" means sister in the German language. A new direction for KAIYODO's Revoltech action figure line that has mostly specialised in mecha action figures. Saber from FATE/STAY NIGHT demonstrated how great Revolver joints can be used in larger-sized human figures, soon to be joined by RIN TOSAKA (from the same series) but more excitingly, ASUKA LANGELEY and AYANAMI REI from NEON GENESIS EVANGELION.

The key point to Revoltechs are the complimenting superb scult (accurate to the source material) with the dynamic articulation (ratchet joints to hold the poses). Beautiful engineering at work with the prototype picture revealing how the joints are buried deep within the body to accomplish poseability unlike any other action figure. Apparently the clean lines and hidden joint sysytem was designed so KAIYODO can produce rather slender action figures (with little or skin tight clothing) resembling the female form better rather than looking like a clunky toy.
